Meet the Team Wayne S. Goddard

A Dedicated Partner with a Heart for the Community. Meet Wayne S. Goddard, our Partner and General Counsel, whose passion and commit-ment to the local community shines as brightly as his entrepreneurial spirit.
Wayne’s Journey: From Bikes to Buildings
Embarking on his journey as an entrepreneur at the age of 13, Wayne started a neighborhood lawn service in La Plata, Maryland. This endeavor was driven by his determination to purchase a high-quality BMX bike, showcasing his dedication to self-empowerment from an early age. This same drive continued throughout his college years and endures to this day.
Educational Excellence and Professional Focus
Wayne graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1998 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar that same year. With over 25 years of experience in construction litigation, real estate litigation, and related transaction work, including complex contract and lease negotiations as well as private equity structuring, Wayne’s expertise is a cornerstone of our team.
A Life Beyond Work: Family, Friends, and Passions
Outside of work, Wayne finds enjoyment in woodworking, spending time with his loved ones, and passionately supports the Clemson Tigers. As a happily married and proud father of two young adults, one of whom is pursuing a career in education while the other thrives as an emerging entrepreneur, Wayne’s family values are foundational to his every endeavor.
Championing Community Causes: A True Local Leader
Wayne’s dedication isn’t confined to his professional pursuits. He is a respected figure within our community, exemplified by his roles as Chairman of the Harford County Liquor Control Board, a member of the Bel Air United Methodist Church, and Chair of the Glenangus Design Review Committee. His insights also guide the Harford County Economic Development Advisory Board and the Harford County Spending Affordability Advisory Committee.
A Legacy of Giving Back
Wayne believes that the key to success in life and business is to be generous with time, talent and resources. In furtherance of this belief, Wayne has previously served as a board member for the Bel Air Downtown Alliance and Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna. His commitment to philanthropy resulted in the creation of The Wayne and Mollie Goddard Foundation Fund, a charitable initiative administered through the Community Foundation of Harford County.
